How To germinate Cannabis Seeds In A Paper Towel
Germinating Cannabis Seeds
There are a number of ways of germinate cannabis seeds with people employing any of these ways depending on their circumstance. It is worth noting that the laws guiding cannabis seeds germination differ from state and definitely country to country. With two saucers and some moist tissue, cannabis seeds can actually be germinated as it is explained in the steps below.
Step 1
This step of the process involves the setting up of the different tools needed for the germination and in the case, the saucers and moist tissue.
The first saucer should be lined with layers of wet tissue with the excess water drained. This is followed by placing the seeds on the tissue, each of the seeds spaced as much as possible.
Few layers of moist tissue should be placed on the seeds without having excess water flood the tissue.
The final phase of this step would be the covering of the preparation with the second saucer, forming a “clam-shell” shape. This is required to create the suitable environment for seeds germination.

Step 2
This step is where nurturing and monitoring the seeds begin.
The plates should be in a warm place of about 21ºC and away from direct sunlight. The preparation should be monitored daily and if need be, the tissues should be sprayed with water to avoid drying out.
At this stage, the roots of the seeds would begin to surface after some days as cannabis seeds are known to open up within 3 days of germination though some take longer time. Once the roots start emerging, they should be transferred with care to a small container.

Step 3
This is the potting stage where a hole is made in the growing medium which would be the soil. The medium should be twice as deep as the length of the seed in such a way that the germinated cannabis seeds sit 2 to 5 mm below the surface.
The seed is subsequently placed into the hole with the root going in first and covered with some amount of soil, much enough to block the soil but not too much as to hinder the seedling when it starts to grow which would be between one day and three after planting the germinated seeds.

Step 4
This is the final step of the germinating process where the new seedlings are given light after emergence. The first few weeks of the emergence are very important and require special care due to the delicate nature of the seedlings.
For seedlings intended for outdoors, acclimatization to direct sunlight is needed and this can be done by an increase in their exposure to direct sunlight by one or two hours daily.
For outdoor seedlings, an environment that has been lit artificially should be used. It could be with HID lightings or fluorescent light.
In four simple steps as explained above, one can actually germinate cannabis seeds.
